Sunday, we slept in a bit and tried to catch up on some rest. Logan wasn't feeling well so we opted to leave him in the hotel, to get some more sleep, while we went to church. Ironically, it was regional conference. The first thirty minutes of the meeting was dedicated to stake conference, broadcast from the local stake center, but then the stake leaders turned on the satellite feed of a regional conference, broadcast from Temple Square. We worried about Logan being alone for so long, so after just an hour, we drove back to the hotel. He wasn't feeling too well so we rested a bit before heading to see the Orlando Temple.
The temple was pretty busy with a lot of out-of-town Mormons. A nice couple from West Jordan took our picture, and then later, they were eating lunch at the same Which Wich we went to! After lunch, we drove to Kennedy Space Center. It was about an hour drive to the east and as we crossed the bridge to Merrit Island, we saw dolphins swimming in the water! The children loved seeing them, especially Alyssa. Dolphins are her favorite animal. As we got closer to Cape Canaveral we saw alligators in some swamp land! I think the gators were the highlight of our entire trip! The children loved looking for them and in all we saw about 10 gators just on the side of the road. It was so cool!
We didn't go into the space center, but drove by and saw this cool rocket.
On our drive, we also saw an armadillo off the side of the road. It was really fun to drive around and see a bit more of Florida. We drove back to the hotel to relax a bit and ate dinner at Golden Corral. The children loved the buffet style of food and everyone ate until we were stuffed!
