By now we were really getting tired of being cooped up inside so decided to go on a road trip to Nine Mile Canyon. We didn't want to infect anyone with our Salt Lake City germs (everyone was encouraged to quarantine at home) but we thought Nine Mile Canyon would be great. We could see pretty much everything from inside our truck and we could also get out and walk around without being too close to anybody else. It was a Friday so very few people were in the canyon. Logan got some serious hours behind the wheel as we had him drive most of the canyon. Contrary to it's name, Nine Mile Canyon is more like 40 miles.
We saw some really cool petroglyphs. This is the Wall.
We got out and hiked around on some rocks and took in some fresh air. It was so nice to get away from home and see some different scenery.
While driving in Wellington we found the funnest restaurant. We know GualBerto's, and AlBerto's, but we have never heard of JillBerto's before!
Saturday, I got up in the mountains to do some trail running. Ron, Doug, Kevin and I enjoyed going through some snow and getting up in the mountains of Herriman for some fresh air.
This virus has really changed the world, but it's nice to still get out a bit to experience what things used to be like.
