Quarantined Entertainment

With everyone hunkering down and being quarantined, one of our neighbors proposed a sidewalk chalk art exhibit.  Everyone came out and drew on their driveway with sidewalk chalk.  Then we were encouraged to walk around the block and see people's art.  It was a lot of fun and we all got to express our inner Van Gogh.  Everyone in our family did great, and it was fun to see our neighbor's art and visit with them as we walked about.

We have been doing more destination runs on Saturday lately.  We ran in the Draper foothills and had a lot of fun running to the suspension bridge.

Poor Alyssa was shortchanged her orchestra concert because everything has been cancelled.  Thankfully her amazing teacher, Tiffany Barlow, offered to hold some front porch concerts for each of her students.  Alyssa's friend, Calli, joined with Alyssa on our front porch along with Tiffany and her daughter, Mari (who plays cello).  The Chandlers and grandparents came to hear their work.  It was really nice.

Alyssa has really enjoyed playing in the school orchestra over the past two years.  Her teacher won't be returning next year, so her orchestra days are done for now.  We're grateful that she has learned so much.
