17th Anniversary

To celebrate seventeen wonderful years of marriage, Jill and I went on an excursion to Las Vegas to see Celine Dion.  We flew to Vegas on a Friday afternoon and had expected to be able to do something that evening.  By the time we landed, though, it was already dark.  It's crazy how early it got dark in Vegas.  We drove to the JW Marriott where we were staying, and then found a fun place for dinner.

Saturday morning we got up and went to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to do some hiking.  Neither of us had ever been to Red Rocks before and we had a blast.  We had so much fun hiking around and loved the blue sky and sunshine.

Saturday night we drove to Caesar's Palace to see the Celine Dion show.  It was her 1254th show in Caesar's Palace and she was amazing!

We really enjoyed the show.  Celine sang hit after hit for about an hour and a half, ending her show with the theme song from "Titanic."

Saturday, while Jill and I hiked around, the Bunkall's were watching our children and they took them to the Museum of Natural History.  Here is a picture of the children having fun with Grandma and Grandpa, while we were gone.

We woke up crazy early on Sunday morning for our return flight.  We had to get home early on Sunday so Jill could teach a Young Women lesson. Thankfully it worked, because of our 1:00 p.m. church.  It was a really quick trip, but we really had so much fun and it was a great way to celebrate 17 years of marriage.
