Leading up to Christmas

Oquirrh Hills held a Fine Arts Night.  Logan has always been our artist, but has never had room in his schedule to take art.  Landon, who has never enjoyed art, did take it this year.  He has enjoyed art a lot more than we ever would have thought!  Landon has met some really great friends in his art class and has enjoyed sitting at their table.  They talk (a little too much) but he loves the class.  His favorite thing to draw is a shark.  He brags about how great he is at drawing sharks.  We found his project displayed in the library and he was so proud to show it off.  Later that evening, our family drove through Christmas in Color.  It was freezing cold, but the kids had fun sitting in the bed of the truck as we drove through the lights.

A coworker hooked me up with some awesome Trump swag for Christmas!  Pretty cool!

Holidays are for watching movies.  The new Star Wars movie came out (the last in the series) and was the "it" show of the holiday.  Tickets went fast so we went to the 8:50 am showing!  The boys each invited a friend (Hyrum Barlow and Landon Stout) and the show didn't disappoint.  Kandis and Brandon also came with us, while Jill and Alyssa tended Macklin and Maverick.

The children all spent time practicing their talents for Grandma's Christmas talent show.  All three were playing at the same time: Alyssa on violin, Landon on glockenspiel, and Logan on the trumpet.  They were not playing the same song, so it was a real treat!

Every year we decorate a ginger bread house from Costco or Trader Joe's.

The Buxton's came to Salt Lake for the holiday.  Our children were so happy to see their cousins again. We met up with them at Cafe Rio.  They don't have one in Omaha so when they come to Utah that is one of the favorites in the lineup.
