Halloween means it's time to carve some pumpkins. I was still out of town so Jill led the children in carving. Alyssa really got into it.
Alyssa loves being on Student Council. She had a lot of fun helping to plan their Haunted Hospital. She drew a sign for the scary activity and it hung in the school hallway.
For months, Alyssa knew what she wanted to be for Halloween. She was a cheerleader this year and loved her costume! She even got to borrow poms, a big hair bow, and a jacket from JaKayla. Alyssa had a lot of fun participating in the parade at school and enjoying the class party. Jill went to help at the party and led the kids in a 3-D Twister game.
Logan and Landon did not dress up for school, but found costumes for Halloween night. Logan dressed up as Kip from Napoleon Dynamite and Landon went as a football player. Logan went to a party with friends, but we did get a picture of all three kids before the trick-or-treating began.
Landon went trick-or-treating with his good friends from school: Ryker White, Landon Stout, and Fynn Nielsen.
I took Alyssa trick-or-treating. She scored quite a haul, even if we didn't make it around the entire neighborhood. It was really cold this year.
November 2nd, just a day before Landon's birthday, he played in his football team's championship game. His team had finished their undefeated season and won their playoff game the week before. It was really exciting to move on to the championship game! Landon played most of the game. He was a key to lead blocking and helping the team with tackles. He even caused a fumble and recovered it! His team destroyed their opponent by about 21 points.
The team celebrated a perfect season! Landon didn't want to play football this year, but we forced him to sign up. We're so glad that we did, because it turned out to be an incredible season for him. He had fantastic coaches and great teammates. He was able to play new positions and really enjoyed being a pulling guard and defensive end. This was his best season of football yet. He may not admit it to us, but he's happy we made him sign up, too.
To celebrate we went to Panda, Landon's new favorite restaurant.
Then we followed it up with milkshakes at Iceberg. He is one happy 13 year old and the presents haven't even happened yet.
