For school Alyssa and her friend Kylie built a marble course using popsicle sticks. They did great! But it was a bit of an ordeal getting it to school without breaking. They packed it in the car and then walked it ever so carefully to class.
Jill decided to get a Honda Pilot. We really like it and it was quite a bit cheaper than the Acura she was looking at. The children all wanted her to get a Tesla, but she really wanted a 3rd row for seating and didn't love the Tesla when she test drove it. She upgraded from the mini van and now is a styling mom with a Pilot!
Mom and Dad celebrated 50 years of marriage! We celebrated on September 4th and had a lovely time at Carvers Steakhouse. Shanel and Kandis wrote some songs to celebrate to the tune of Neil Diamond. I created a video of some of their old pictures and put it to music and we all went around the room to share a memory about them.
We were able to rent out a private room and it fit us perfectly. We could all eat well and enjoy a nice meal away from everyone and the venue was really terrific. This is what 50 years together looks like.
Jill was involved in a huge south valley concert by Alex Boye who performed to promote mental health for several stakes in the south valley. The park in Herriman was packed with people! There were food trucks so the kids could buy food, and the lines were crazy. Glad we ate before coming. Alyssa and Calli got to come even though they weren't quite of age just yet. It was a really fun concert.
