We are losing participation in pumpkin carving activities on Halloween. We are just down to Alyssa who enjoys carving. The boys are too busy being with friends and doing other things.
We observed Halloween on Saturday rather than on Sunday which was October 31st. Alyssa dressed up as an angel and she really loves the shoes she and Jill found that are an off white Doc Martin type of boot. The shoes were in the school pictures from the previous post.
She got to trick or treat with some of the girls from our neighborhood.
Meanwhile Landon was off with friends and he did some trick or treating as a "teenager" but mostly hung out with friends and watched movies. Logan had a school dance called Girls Pref and Frankie Collard invited him to be her date. They had a day date activity and all colored pumpkins, but he forgot to bring it home after painting it. We aren't sure where it ended up.
For the dance they all dressed up as Super Hero's. Logan and Frankie were Tony Stark and Pepper from Iron Man. Before the dance they all went trick or treat or treating to a couple of Frankie's neighbors. I'm sure it was quite a site to see all of these super hero's knock on your door.
Logan said they all had a really good time and enjoyed dinner, dancing, and hanging out after. Alyssa is at that perfect age where her stamina is good so she can trick or treat all night and she brought in quite a haul.
For Sunday dinner we had a lovely themed meal. Pumpkin bread bowls with soup. It was all really tasty, thank you Jill.
